How to play Gambit Labs: Invasion Swap in Destiny 2

An interesting twist on the mode.

Bungie completely reworked Gambit with the launch of The Witch Queen. However with that rework, the core game mode and objective stayed pretty much the same. After a few weeks of tweaking Gambit, the developers are looking to change it up a bit with the introduction of Gambit Labs and its first altered game mode known as Invasion Swap.

What is Gambit Labs: Invasion Swap?

Bungie has decided to add Gambit Labs into Destiny 2. Gambit Labs are alternate game modes that feature tweaks made to classic Gambit. This is a way for Bungie to test some of the more out-there ideas for the game mode. The first tweaked game mode being introduced is called Invasion Swap. This mode will change up who gets invasions during the Motes phase of the activity, meaning that at 25 and 75 banked Motes, the opposite team will get a chance to invade.

Bungie has stated in their This Week at Bungie, that Gambit Labs: Invasion Swap will go live in the game this coming Tuesday. You will be able to select this mode in both the main Gambit node and the freelance one. This mode will be around for only a week, so anyone interested in giving it a try will only have next week to do so.

So there you have it, that is what Gambit Labs: Invasion Swap is, and how it varies from the original Gambit game mode. It will be interesting to see how the player base reacts to this mode, as it is often one of the proposed ideas for making Gambit a better and more enjoyable activity.
