Guardians got a sneak preview of what was to come with the Lightfall expansion back in Season 19. Destiny 2 developer Bungie wanted to tempt players into a preorder by giving them early access to an upcoming Exotic, the Quicksilver Storm auto rifle. Now that Lightfall has launched, this sleek auto rifle has received a Catalyst. Here's what it does and how to get it.
Where to find the Quicksilver Storm Catalyst
The Quicksilver Storm Catalyst is obtained by completing the Any Data Port in a Storm quest. It's a three-step quest that's obtained once players have access to the holoprojector in Neomuna.
Any Data Port in a Storm Quest Steps
- Gain data to support the nanite calibration by rapidly defeating combatants in Neomuna with auto rifles, grenades, and any grenade launchers. Rapidly defeating combatants with grenade launchers grants the most progress.
- Go visit Banshee-44 in the Tower to see what he has to say about Quicksilver Storm's Progress.
- Defeat combatants in Neomuna with the grenade launcher alternate fire mode of Quicksilver Storm.
Once the Catalyst has been acquired, players need to rack up 700 kills to complete it. With the Catalyst completed and equipped, Quicksilver Storm becomes a Strand weapon with the grenades creating Tangles. It's not a bad little addition to the already adequate auto rifle and certainly ties in with the Strand-heavy campaign. Now that you know how to get it, get to it!
