Disney Dreamlight Valley ‘The Ancient Door’ Quest Guide

That's one ancient door...

After completing 'The Sands in the Hourglass' quest, you'll have access to two more biomes in Eternity Isle. In the jungle, you'll find the lovely Rapunzel, and here's how to complete her first quest.

'The Ancient Door', not to be mistaken for 'The Ancient Doorway,' is Rapunzel's very first quest you'll complete with her in Eternity Isle. Of course, to begin the quest, you'll first need to find her. The only way to do this is to make sure you first repair the bridge with Jafar in 'The Sands in the Hourglass.' Then, make your way into the jungle biome, Wild Tangle.

Rapunzel is a bit hidden but you can find her in the Wild Tangle, within the first open area of the biome, The Grasslands. All you need to do is continue all the way up and to the right toward the waterfall. If there happens to be a tree and plant blocking the bridge across the water, you can open up your Furniture menu and remove the tree to cross over.

Rapunzel will be partially hidden behind the waterfall, but as you get closer to the Ancient Door, you'll spot her with the quest marker above her head. You can now begin her first quest to open the Ancient Door. To do so, you'll need to collect some special Sun Core pieces.

The first Sun Core piece will be found while clearing the initial set of gray floating rocks in front of the door. You can use your Hourglass to remove them, just like the floating spiral sands. You may see the piece glitch into the door when it falls on the ground; this also happened to me, but don't worry. It should automatically go into your inventory if you step close enough to it (you can walk against the door to try and collect it). Once you have this piece, you'll need to locate two more.

Now, the following two pieces can be anywhere around the Isle since they are randomly generated, so you may need to go on a bit of a search, breaking as many gray floating rocks as possible. I was lucky and found both of the next two pieces right in the Glittering Dunes Plains, just across from the jungle, but they might not be in the exact locations for you. Once you break the rocks, you'll see the shiny gold pieces fall out onto the ground (they look like little gold nuggets).

Once you have all the pieces, you can take them to the closest Crafting Table to piece them together into the Sun Core. Then, take the repaired Sun Core back to the Ancient Door and slot it in to open it up. Now you and Rapunzel can continue inside for the next adventure!
