Where to find Emerald in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Here's where to find the shiny, green Emerald!

One of the best ways to earn fast Star Coins is to sell gems. You can harvest gems all around the Valley from the rock deposits on the outer corners of the Biomes. However, specific types of gems can only be found in certain locations, like the Emerald, for instance. You can only find the Emerald in two different Biomes in the Valley, and here's where and how to get it easiest.

How to get Emeralds in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Emeralds can only be mined from deposits in The Forest of Valor or The Glade of Trust. Gems can usually be detected inside the deposits as you approach them. However, sometimes they might need you to break through the first layers of the deposit before they are revealed. If you can't find them in the deposits already there, you may have to break open the rocks and let them respawn.

Once you spot the green gem within a deposit, select your Pickaxe from your Tool Wheel by holding RT on your controller or Tab on your PC and then using your stick or the matching number to select it. With your Pickaxe equipped, press X/Square or M2 to mine through the rock. The emerald will drop onto the ground for you to pick up.

Emeralds can usually be worth a pretty Star Coin if you don't need them for a quest or crafting recipe. A regular Emerald is worth 325 Star Coins each, and a Shiny Emerald is worth 1.3K Star Coins each.

Best ways to mine Emeralds in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The best way to mine multiple gems at a time is to take a Companion with you. Companions that are given the mining role will help you find more minerals when you are mining. Meaning you can get two or three Emeralds from one deposit. It also helps you boost your friendship with them more quickly if you aren't maxed already.

The other way to get more from each deposit is to craft a Miracle Pickaxe Polish. This one-time use potion will increase the minerals and items you get from each deposit up to 10 times. Pair this with a mining Companion, and you will be swimming in gems.

  • Miracle Pickaxe Polish: 10 Vitalys Crystal, 5 Onyx, 500 Dreamlight
  • Even More Miraculous Pickaxe Polish: 20 Vitalys Crystal, 10 Onyx, 1,000 Dreamlight
