Best mods for Dying Light 2

Here's a fun little list of Dying Light 2 mods.

Dying Light 2 is not a perfect game, and there are many features and gameplay elements that can use improvement. Luckily, with a few good mods, Dying Light 2 can become close to being a perfect experience. That said, here you will find a few mods that we recommend adding to your game.

Our mods list will touch upon various new mods that will change and fix a lot of elements we didn't like about the game.

Disclaimer - Read Before Installing Mods!

Before installing any of the mods featured on this list, make sure to read mod descriptions and the latest updated dates. The reason is that the recent update broke some mods for the game. It's always a good idea to do so because mods can often become out of date or get broken by updates.

I Am Legion - Reborn

I Am Legion Reborn is a new version of an old mod for the First Dying Light. The mod touches upon many elements of Dying light 2, all of which are listed below.

  • Environment - The mod changes up the weather system and adds more variety to it with the goal of creating interesting environments.
  • Gameplay - The mod makes AI Bandits more threatening and makes it easy to kill zombies by kicking them off roofs.
  • Night Time -  The mod increases the number of zombies that spawn at night and hunt the player.
  • Zombies - The mod makes Biters in Dying Light 2 run and are more dangerous to deal with, and allows Zombies to hunt the player via the smell of their blood.

Overall, we recommend installing this mod if you are looking for a more challenging experience than the Vanilla hard mode offers.

Level Scaling

As you level up in Dying Light 2, you will soon notice that the enemies will remain low level in certain areas. Because of this, the game can feel very easy when you level up higher than quest levels.

This is where Level Scaling comes into play by making all enemies in all areas scale up to your current character level.

More Loot

When looting dead enemies in Vanilla Dying Light 2, you will often notice that you will find nothing a lot of the time. This is a huge change when compared to the first game, where nearly every dead zombie/bandit always had something to loot.

More Loot changes this oddity and makes every dead zombie or bandit always gives you something to take home.

More Inhibitors

More Inhibitors is a simple mod that does what it says on the package. In short, it changes the max amount of Inhibitors players can gather and the max Health and Stamina level.

Unlimited Weapon Durability

One of the most annoying elements of Dying Light 2 is the weapon durability system. Luckily the Unlimited Weapon Durability Mod fixes the problem by removing the feature and making weapons last forever.

Better Balance

Better Balance is a mod that removes the restrictions on the various merchants in Dying Light 2. The result is that merchants will have a larger selection of items to buy.

Along with changes to merchants, Better Balance also makes weapons more durable and increases the XP gain at night.

Slower Time Cycles

Slower Time Cycles is a mod that changes how long Dying Light 2's day and night cycle lasts. The mod offers four options for day and night cycle length that include 2x,4x,8x, and real-time. If you want a specific time, you will need to visit the mod's Nexus page.

On the Mod's Nexus page, you will need to locate the file section, and under the file section, you will be able to download the version of the mod you want.

More Inventory and Player Stash Slots

More Inventory and Player Stash Slots is a mod that increases the amount of both Inventory, and Stash Slots players get in Dying Light 2.

Overall it's a pretty simple mod, and we recommend adding this mod if you are finding yourself running out of storage in the game. That said, the complete list of changes the mod makes are listed below.

  • Weapon Quick Slots are now 48 slots.
  • ConsumableSlots are now 32 slots.
  • Inventory Slots are now 32 slots.
  • Ammo Slots are now 24 slots.
  • Stash Slots are now 250 for equipment.
  • Stash Slots are now 250 for consumables.
  • Stash Slots are now 500 for both weapons and ammo.
