Depth of field is a prominent post-processing effect that is implemented in most current-gen games. However, you do not have the option to disable depth of field in Dying Light 2 at launch.
Although the graphics effect is intended to improve the player's immersion in the game, it may not please everyone. The lack of option to turn DOF off can be annoying to those players who don't like this setting in their games.
On the contrary, the game's predecessor, Dying Light, had the option to change depth of field. Players were allowed to switch this feature from the in-game settings. Nonetheless, Dying Light 2 has several other advanced graphics such as field of view, motion blur, particles quality, ambient occlusion, shadows, reflections, and Ray Tracing.
Hopefully, the developers at Techland will add an option to disable depth of field in the near future. Dying Light 2 is a survival-based action RPG available for multiple platforms including Windows, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
