This battle comes just after Nowa and Seign have escaped from the hole they fell into in the first dungeon of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. There’s a save point just before you begin the final room (pictured above), so make sure to use it before the battle begins (and heal up if you’re down on health).

When the battle begins, you will only have Nowa and Seign in your party. Golem Pulverizer has no shield, so you don’t have to worry about the damage type you’re doing. As they both start with 2SP, there’s no reason not to lead with your new Friendship Combo for the first two rounds.

You’ll likely be hit hard in the second round, with Seign taking significant damage. Let him heal up while Nowa uses his Swinging Slash Rune-Lens attack. At the end of the third round, there’s a brief cut scene and you’ll be joined by the rest of the party. Note they all join you in full health.

Focus everyone on doing the best damage they can (Seign and Nowa friendship attacks; the rest Rune-Lens attacks when available), except for Hildi. Use Hildi for healing as required; she is good for at least six individual heals using Healing Drops (Rune-Lens skill). Note that her heals trigger first in the round, no matter what her position in the order queue.

After about five rounds of this, the Golem Pulverizer will change tactics. You now have the Gimmick option to Hide in Debris. When choosing this option, each hero that hides will move to the front of the order queue and make no attack but also take no damage.

Golem Pulverizer now has rounds where it doesn’t attack. During these rounds, it will scan the battlefield and target one column. This shows you which two units to hide. If the attack is down the middle, you’ll just need to heal up afterward as these two heroes can’t hide.

The order is:

  1. Lock on: Scans your team, allowing you to heal and attack at will
  2. Destruction Ray: Big attack in the column the scan indicated
  3. No action: Give it all you’ve got or heal
  4. Furious Strike: Attacks the whole front row

Beyond hiding, continue piling on the damage as before. After a few rounds of this, you should be able to take it down. Congratulations, you’ve defeated your first boss in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
