Elden Ring DLC will let you do martial arts and get permanent buffs

In for a hard time.

Several new weapons and weapon types will be available in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree it's been revealed, including a martial arts style, where you'll use your bare hands (and feet) to land flashy and devastating blows to your enemies and quickly finish them. It sounds like a unique and cool way to play the game; we can expect many players to try to complete the DLC as well as the game on a pure martial arts build. This also looks like a neat thing to try out in the base game as well as you take revenge on some of those annoying enemies who one-shot you (looking at you, you big crayfish!).

To ease the suffering of those starting the DLC, a new rare consumable will be available for players to use. Called the Scadutree Fragments, these will negate some incoming damage and also buff the damage you cause. These can be stacked and levelled up at Sites of Grace to make your journey much more bearable, though they only work in the DLC. These are of course optional, but if you're a newcomer to FromSoft DLCs (which are comparatively harder than the base games), then these are something you will want.

The Land of Shadow is filled with powerful enemies and bosses

The Land of Shadow is the new region you'll be exploring—a blighted area filled with foliage either drying or dying. The atmosphere almost sounds similar to Bloodborne; as usual with FromSoft's formula, you'll have tons of shortcuts and small paths to make use of to reach that much-needed Site of Grace.

Shadow of the Erdtree also expands Elden Ring's wide variety of enemies, throwing in a more powerful version of the ghosts, birds, and knights encountered in the main game. There will be more than 10 main bosses in store, as well as other side bosses all ready for the Tarnished to take on. One of them, Devine Beast Dancing Lion, is said to wield magic abilities while also being agile enough for cross-arena jumping attacks. Being agile also seems to be a more common theme with the DLC enemies, on top of being more deadly. So, overall it looks like the enemies will be more akin to those in Crumbling Farum Azula and Miquella's Haligtree in the main game.
