Should you let Fia hold you in Elden Ring?

Do you want a hug?

Once you gain access to the Roundtable Hold in Elden Ring, there is an NPC named Fia in one of the bedrooms. If you interact with her, she will ask if she can hold you. In classic Souls fashion, this choice seems harmless but just mysterious enough to possibly be a trap. So, should you let Fia hold you in Elden Ring?

Luckily, Fia is a kind NPC and will grant you a Baldachin’s Blessing if you let her hold you. If you refuse, you can return and talk to her again if you want the item. Baldachin's Blessing is a useable item that uses FP to temporarily boost poise. Boosting your poise will further prevent you from staggering from enemy attacks. This item can be very helpful against bosses or groups of enemies.

If your playstyle does not use a lot of skills or magic that use FP, the Baldachin's Blessing is a good item to use before a tough fight, especially if you like fighting in close with melee weapons.

You can only hold one Baldachin's Blessing at a time, so after you use it, you can return to Fia and let her hold you again. Letting Fia hold you grants the useful item and hopefully gives you a few seconds of comfort away from the stressful world of The Lands Between.
