You can't have an MMO that isn't online. With no local client capable of running, players are left in the lurch until servers come back up. This is true of everything from EverQuest 2 to World of Warcraft. When it comes to getting back into the game, you need to know fast. Read on to find out how to check the server status for EverQuest 2.
Is EverQuest 2 down?
At the time of this writing, the only EverQuest 2 server that is down is the beta server. Its last response was a month ago.
The quickest and easiest way to check the server status for EverQuest 2 is via the official support page. There are other games listed here, but scrolling down to EverQuest II will show the available servers, their status, and the last time the servers responded.
As with any online service, it's best to start troubleshooting your devices and home network if the servers aren't down and you're experiencing issues:
- Close the game that you're trying to play and confirm that your console, PC, or mobile device has a working internet connection.
- If the device doesn't, check another device in your home to see if it is a problem with the device or the network.
- If all devices are unable to connect, check the status lights on your gateway (modem/router) and power cycle the device by leaving the power unplugged for 30 seconds minimum.
- If your device can connect to the internet and things like browsers and other games are working, double check the EverQuest 2 Twitter account to see if any announcements have been made regarding an outage.
