I seldom think about voice actors in games, but Final Fantasy XVI is an exception. For some reason, the first thing I do before playing the game is check the actors who worked on the project. It's part of my gameplay preparation, as it's interesting to spend time with actors I've already seen or heard in other games. This time, I had to learn more about Cid's voice actor in FF16.
Who voices Cidolfus Telamon's Voice Actor in FF16?
The English dub voice of Cid in FF16 is Ralph Ineson, most known for his role of Cleftjaw in Game of Thrones. If you've played Diablo IV, you've already heard his voice, where he voices Lorath Nahr. Ralph was also great in Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, where he lent his voice to Charles Vane.

In the original version, the Japanese dub voice of Cidolfus Telamon is Hiroshi Shirokuma. He's a Final Fantasy veteran who voiced popular characters like Calus Ballad, Enkidu, and Ilberd Feare across multiple games. Besides games, Hiroshi was a voice talent in anime titles like Naruto (Toki), One Piece (Gyukimaru), and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth (Munto).
I recommend the Japanese version, as you'll hear very talented voice actors. Also, the main character in FF16 sounds arguably better than the English dub. While I don't know the Japanese language, I felt their voice acting provided a more immersive experience.
