Final Fantasy XVI is the latest entry in the Final Fantasy series. It features a brand-new story, new characters, and a fast-paced real-time combat system. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the title and looking forward to diving in. This has led some to wonder if there will be a demo for Final Fantasy XVI.
Does Final Fantasy XVI have a demo?
Director and producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed in an interview with Famitsu that there would be a demo for Final Fantasy XVI. The demo is believed to arrive two weeks before the official launch of Final Fantasy XVI. This allows players to get an early look at the game and try it out before full release.
Does progress from the Final Fantasy XVI demo carry over?
Yoshida has stated that he would like save data from the Final Fantasy XVI demo to transfer to the full game. If implemented, you can pick up where you left off. We don't know how extensive the demo is or how much you will be able to play. Unfortunately, as the game is still in development, we do not have official confirmation that progress carries over for sure.
Square Enix has released numerous demos for their recent games, including Octopath Traveler 2, Tactics Ogre Reborn, and The Diofield Chronicles. Many of the demos did feature save data transfer, so if Square Enix can add this feature to Final Fantasy XVI, then it will likely be available.
