All new Triple Triad cards in FFXIV Patch 6.4 and how to get them

Grab those cards!

It’s new patch time, and that means new Triple Triad cards! Sorry if you just got finished completing your collection, because there’s a half dozen new cards added in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.4. Here they all are.

Octomammoth

Octommoth is probably the easiest to get of the new Triple Triad cards. It drops from The Aetherfont Dungeon, which is part of the MSQ. It's a rare drop, but a fixed drop (although we really don’t quite understand what that means). You can usually pick it up after a few runs.

Golbez

Golbez drops from the The Voidcast Dais (Normal) & (Extreme) trials, and we recommend combining this with either grinding the new Lynx mount or getting it in the next few days. That’s  because normal trials from MSQ content with no gear drops kind of die after the first few weeks. As a result, we recommend grabbing it from the normal trial ASAP.

Proto-Carbuncle

This is a drop from a Triple Triad Duel with Ruissenard, in Aporia. However, you’ll need to complete all of the newly added raid quests. Even then, as with all Duel cards, it’s a pain to get this one to drop, as you need to beat Ruissenard consistently for a chance for it to drop.

Themis

Just like the Proto-Carbuncle, Themis is from a Triple Triad Duel with Ruissenard, in Aporia. Again, this is pain, because the Duel drop rates are horrendous, but you can still grab it if you really grind at it.

Athena

Finally, Athena drops from the new Anabaseios: The Twelfth Circle raid on Normal & Savage difficulties. Since many people are going to be grinding this for minions, mounts, and other goodies, it’s going to be fairly easy to grab, but still a bit of a grind.
