Final Fantasy XIV's upcoming update, Newfound Adventure, launches on April 12 for the popular MMO from Square Enix and Creative Business Unit III. Square Enix gave players more information on the update a week before its launch.
Square Enix shared more information on Patch 6.1 on April 4 via the Final Fantasy XIV Twitter account. The post shares an image of Tataru in the expanded story, linking players to a new dedicated patch page on the Final Fantasy XIV website.
This new page shares information on the upcoming systems, class changes, and story missions added in Patch 6.1, including the general premise of the new story missions. The Warrior of Light returns to their humble beginnings as an adventurer before a new challenge warrants their attention.

On top of the new Main Scenario Quests, a new trial: The Minstrel's Ballad: Endsinger's Aria, joins the list of player activities in Patch 6.1.
The most notable addition aside from the new story content in Final Fantasy XIV's Patch 6.1 update is the 24-man Alliance Raid dungeon, Myths of the Realm, Part 1: Aglaia.
The patch notes also detail new Ultimate Raids for Patch 6.1 and 6.11 and the Crystalline Conflict PvP update. You can view the list of changes to Final Fantasy XIV via Patch 6.1 on Final Fantasy XIV's website.
