How to unlock Parry in F.I.S.T Forged in Shadow Torch?

Parry then special move!

To unlock Parry in F.I.S.T Forged in Shadow Torch, you must first progress through the game's story until you get to the Power Station and kill Zapper.

The power station is pretty linear, to begin with, as you have to head down a turbine, to turn on the power, then head back up the now moving and electrified turbine to progress. It's much easier than it sounds. Once you make it back to the top and proceed right, you'll enter into a miniboss fight with Zapper.

After Zapper is dealt with, keep heading to the right to find a terminal. Once at the terminal, backtrack one room, then head upwards. Keep following this route, and eventually, you will find the Shock Batons. This new item is how you parry in F.I.S.T Forged in Shadow Torch. You equip it in the place of your Carrot Juice, but it uses EP upon a successful parry.

How to Parry in F.I.S.T Forged in Shadow Torch?

To parry in F.I.S.T Forged in Shadow Torch, you must make sure that the Shock Batons are equipped and that you have at least one EP bar full. You use the right analog to change items back and forth—Carrot Juice is up, and Shock Batons is right.

Now to parry, all you need to do is hold down R2, this will trigger Rayton to twirl the batons around, but in this stance, you cannot move, jump or attack. You have to be stationary. If an enemy attacks you in this stance, you will parry the blow and regain one bar of SP.

You don't do a riposte—a parry but then strike with a counter-attack—you only parry, so you take no damage, but you then need to follow up with another move by yourself. If you have no EP left, then you cannot use the parry ability.
