Fortnite’s cars might be delayed for a few weeks!

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

It looks like it could be quite a while for cars to be added to Fortnite if a recent Tweet is true! No Sweat Insurance has relayed the fact that it looks like Epic has been having bugs and issues with the vehicles and they aren't ready for prime time yet. This is unfortunate because the static cars that were in the game have been removed and that leaves a whole lot less ability for players to obtain metal!

According to previous leaks, cars were supposed to be released on July 21st with the patch. That obviously didn't happen, so we thought maybe they might come out on July 23rd with the release of the challenges! This also clearly didn't happen, so it looks like we are immobile for the time being.

The news comes from Fortnite's Official Twitter account:

Fender bender? #NoSweat.
Run out of gas? That's not covered.

Our lawyers are currently sweating the policy details and fixing typos like 'otter coverage' instead of auto coverage. Due to this, many vehicles got taken for inspection.

Expect a few weeks until we're road ready.

We're hoping that Epic might add back in the stationary cars, so players have access to more metal sources. If the three week delay is true, then the island will likely have completely drained of its water by then, because the island's water level continues to drop! We'll just have to wait and see how long the delay for cars actually will be, because it's possible that this could be a bit of fun Epic is playing on us.
