Groot could be another part of the new Fortnite Battle Pass!

While we've gotten a bunch of interesting leaked information in the past few days, one that came out of nowhere is the reveal that Groot might also be a part of the Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass! We got confirmation that the season is going to be Marvel related through Fortnite's Twitter, but that pretty much only revealed for sure that Thor is going to be a part of things.

Groot is a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and pretty much can only speak in the Groot language. He pretty much only says "I am Groot", but the way he says it is how you can translate what his meaning actually ends up being. He is actually quite strong and can extend his tree limbs outward as weapons, has super strength, and can regrow just about any lost limbs. If he perishes, it appears that you can regrow Groot if you plant him into some soil, at least based on what I saw in the movies!

We aren't really sure what form of Groot we will get. We know it will very likely be the comic book version, but in recent years they've played off the movies and a whole variety of Groots have been seen. It's possible that we get multiple styles, but having the option to have adult or young Groot would be a nice feature! He is also a prime character to have a harvesting tool that is basically built into the skin. As mentioned, Groot can pretty much turn his limbs into weapons, so some kind of limb based pickaxe would be a nice addition!

The ultimate idea though is having a pet Groot! Pets in Fortnite are basically Back Bling, but have a lot more character. You could have baby Groot in a plant pot that reacts based on what you are doing in game. Unfortunately, none of this has been confirmed yet, so we'll just have to wait and see what we get.
