How to mark weapons of different rarities in Fortnite

Hunting people is one thing, but hunting guns, that's a different task altogether.

Fortnite features a total of seven different weapon rarities in the game. These rarities are as follows Common (gray), Uncommon (green), Rare (blue), Epic (Purple), Legendary (Orange), Exotic (Gold) and Mythic (Light Blue). The first four rarities can be easily spotted in the game. The remaining three can be slightly difficult to track down.

In order to mark any weapon, all you need to do is aim at it and press the default keybind used for marking an object. The middle mouse button is the default keybind for PC while the left button on the D-Pad is the default keybind for consoles.

Where to find weapons of different rarities in Fortnite

Weapons of the Common, Uncommon and Rare rarities occur as regular floor loot or from the various chests that you find scattered on the island. Weapons of Epic rarity can be found inside chests and supply drops only. Alternatively, you could also upgrade a weapon of Rare rarity at an upgrade bench and convert it into an Epic one.

There are a few hostile NPCs like Dr Slone and Gunnar. You will have to defeat them if you want their weapons. The weapons that they drop are of Legendary rarity. There's a chance that you might get weapons of Legendary rarity from supply drops as well. When it comes to Exotics and Mythics, you can make your way to the different NPC vendors on the map that sell these weapons and buy them. Once you've found these weapons, all you need to do is point at them and mark. Good luck, looper!
