Dual Fiend Hunters Crossbow

The Dual Fiend Hunters Crossbows have been Added to Fortnite Battle Royale

Best weapon for The Sideways?

Fortnite has brought back an old classic, the Fiend Hunter Crossbow, to the Battle Royale island. However, this time, they have doubled the fun by adding one to your other hand. More crossbows equals more bolts, right?

Beyond doubling the number of weapons you have in your hands, there are multiple benefits to the Dual Fiend Hunters crossbows that make them better than the original. Perhaps one of the most important is the fact that they have an increased firing rate, which means you'll be firing more bolts into your enemies and therefore dealing more damage.

The Dual Fiend Hunters were given that name for a reason. They deal additional damage to Cube Monsters, making them the perfect weapon to have if you're going to be venturing into The Sideways. Unfortunately, it looks like these weapons don't deal additional damage to any other type of creature.

The new crossbow pair can be found in all your typical places on the map: on the ground or in any type of Chest. This makes it easy for all players to try them out and master them before we need to take out any paranormal monsters during the Halloween season. The official blog post about the new weapon left an interesting hint at the end that says "do the Hunters remind anyone else of a certain Halloween celebration?". Is this a hint to the possible return of the Storm King or the Fortnightmares event?
