Snipers are back in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1, and there are currently only two precision long-range weapons in-game that players can use. The Hunters Bolt-Action Rifle is the new weapon added this season which players can find as ground loot this season.

The exotic Boom Sniper Rifle is the second sniper added this season, and it is a purchasable weapon that players can get from one of the NPCs in-game. This exotic weapon is with the new NPC #20 Lt. John Llama, located at Llama Homestead landmark, south of Logjam Lumberyard.

The Boom Sniper Rifle costs around 600 gold bars, and Lt. John Llama can sell five snipers, enough for the entire squad. You can also hire the NPC for 95 gold bars, but make sure to purchase the sniper before he joins your team. Here are the base statistics for the exotic Boom Sniper Rifle in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1.

The Boom Sniper Rifle is unique as it has a 2.5x headshot multiplier, which means you can essentially knock an opponent with a single headshot. This weapon shoots high-velocity clingers, which are potent enough to deal area damage.
