To obtain Philosophies of Ballad, you need to complete the Forsaken Rift, a Domain of Mastery located in Mondstadt. The Forsaken Rift is located between Springvale and Dragonspine.

Teleport to Windwail Highland, the Teleport Waypoint below Springvale, and the Forsaken Rift is to the southwest, hidden inside a cave.

To enter Forsaken Rift IV, you need to be Adventure Rank 45. It is recommended to have your party about Level 88 and characters that uses Electro and Pyro.

The Forsaken Rift rotates the rewards you get based on what day of the week it is.

On Wednesdays and Fridays, the domain is called Realm of Slumber, and you can get the Ballad Talent Level-up Materials.

On Sunday, you can choose whatever domain you desire.

Philosophies of Ballad are rewarded for completing Domain of Mastery: Realm of Slumber IV, and you can receive between zero to three of them per run. You will also receive between zero and three Guide to Ballad and two to three Teachings of Ballad.

To complete Realm of Slumber IV, you must defeat all eight enemies within 480 seconds.

The eight enemies are split into three waves:
- First Wave
  - Large Cryo Slime x3
- Second Wave
  - Large Cryo Slime x2
  - Cryo Abyss Mage x1
- Third Wave
  - Cryo Abyss Mage x2

Due to the Cryo enemies, it is wise to bring along characters that inflict Electro and Pyro damage.

When inside a Domain of Mastery, you are inflicted by a Ley Line Disorder. This is a debuff that is never removed throughout the duration of the Rift.

In Realm of Slumber IV, you have the following Ley Line Disorder:

Your character will be periodically inflicted with Condensed Ice, greatly increasing your Stamina Consumption until the inflicted Cryo element is removed. Icicles will periodically fall from above, dealing Cryo Damage.

If you have completed the domain successfully, to claim the rewards, you need to spend 20 Original Resin to or use a Condensed Resin to receive double. You do not have to claim the rewards if you choose not to do so.
