Best Dehya builds in Genshin Impact – Weapons, Artifacts, & more!

Can you make her ferocious?

Genshin Impact's Dehya has a unique and rather confusing kit. She feels a bit like a jack-of-all-trades and master of none that can be difficult to build a team around. It may make you question if she is even worth pulling for in the first place. However, some may simply pull for her simply because they love this no-nonsense, protective character. Here's how we recommend that you build her.

Dehya's talents and kit scale on both Attack and HP, and is a mixed bag, for certain. Her Elemental Burst, Leonine Bite, seems to be geared toward doing damage quickly in a Sub-DPS role. Her Elemental Skill, Molten Inferno, seems largely meant be used to support defensively, to mitigate damage to other characters and prevent interruption. Overall, Dehya may be best built as an off-field support, but, if you are willing to invest in her, the Sub DPS role is not outside of the question, either.

Best Weapons for Dehya in Genshin Impact

As a five-star character, Dehya has a signature five-star weapon—Beacon of the Reed Sea. This claymore has a very welcome Crit Rate substat, and a weapon skill that can boost both Attack and HP, even if its wielder is off the field. These stat boosts are dependent on Dehya utilizing her mitigation mechanic without shields, however. Four-star weapon options for Dehya mostly assist with her Elemental Skill. The free event weapon given in Version 3.5, Mailed Flower, may be a decent option for boosting Dehya's off-field damage. If you want an easier time managing her Elemental Skill, the Sacrifical Greatsword could be a viable option as it will help you to be able to move the field her Elemental skill leaves behind.

Best Artifacts for Dehya in Genshin Impact

While she scales on both Attack and HP, we are going to recommend farming a more support focused Artifact set like the four-piece Tenacity of the Millelith while you obtain her other character materials. While it seems as if she's not made to be played with shields, she can take advantage of both it's HP boost, and the team wide attack boost via her Elemental Skill. You could also use two-piece combinations of other Artifact sets with Tenacity of the Millelith like Crimson Witch of Flames or another generic Attack +18% boosting two-piece set to improve Dehya's own personal damage.

Best teammates for Dehya in Genshin Impact

Dehya's current team comps are a bit limited at the moment. We know that she has a high Elemental Burst cost and low particle generation herself, so pairing her with other Pyro support characters like Bennet is going be advisable. Being a Pyro character, she can enable both the Vaporize and Melt reactions, so she can be used to support other Hydro or Cryo DPS characters. Ideally, they would also benefit from her interruption prevention, like Ganyu. It's also possible that Dehya will support future characters better than current ones, much like Yae when she was initially released.
