As Teyvat continues to expand with dangerous terrain and enemies that can inflict HP-draining status effects, healers have become more vital than ever in many team compositions. Genshin Impact's cast of characters already features some reliable healers, from Barbara to Qiqi, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Bennett. But recent leaks surrounding Kuki Shinobu reveal that the game's first Electro healer may only be a few updates away.
Who is Kuki Shinobu in Genshin Impact?
Kuki Shinobu hails from a family of shrine maidens. Her older sister, Miyuki, serves at the Grand Narukami Shrine. Unlike her family, Kuki Shinobu chose to pave her own path—choosing to explore the world, learn various trades, and even study law in Liyue. This has led her to build a speculated connection with Yanfei, who she presumably learned the law from.
In Inazuma, Kuki Shinobu is the Deputy of the infamous Arataki Gang. But unlike her boss, she keeps the boisterous gang in check, returns "stolen" rewards to children, and often bails Arataki Itto out of prison.

Genshin Impact's First Electro Healer
Kuki Shinobu was recently leaked to appear in the second half of Version 2.7. While she's been speculated to be an Electro support character, her weapon and the extent of her kit have remained in the shadows.
A post by u/aretete in r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks may have answers to these mysteries. According to their Reddit post, which translates a leak from a Chinese forum, Kuki Shinobu is expected to be a four-star Electro sword user and a healer.
Genshin Impact has plenty of healers, but none hold an Electro Vision. If the leaks are correct, Kuki Shinobu will be the first Electro healer in the game.
With months away from Version 2.7, all leaks surrounding Kuki Shinobu are subject to massive change. So don't treat them as official information, and be on the lookout for HoYoverse's official character introduction before deciding to pull (or not to pull) for Shinobu.
