Genshin Impact leak reveals Yelan’s possible skills and kit

Yelan could possibly be another bow-wielding support.

As Genshin Impact closes in on Version 2.6, information about what's to come in the update after is starting to surface. Yelan's in-game model was first leaked alongside the Version 2.5 beta, but her actual release date is speculated to be in Version 2.7. While she's largely known to be a five-star Hydro bow user, details about her kit remain vague, as it has yet to reach the closed beta testing stage.

Recently, users from the r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit have been crossposting Yelan leaks sourced from Chinese forums, which have been hubs for most early leaks. While the details have been scattered across various posts, user u/aretete created a compilation of Yelan's skills and kit.

The leaked information includes the following:

  • Yelan could possibly scale off HP, with leaks that imply that she could use the Tenacity of the Millelith Artifact Set. Other leakers believe that she could possibly have an HP-draining Elemental Skill, but this was debunked in the Reddit post.
  • Yelan is likely to be a support character—specifically a buffer. Her Damage output is presumably low, so she's not likely able to fill a DPS role.
  • Yelan is likely to have a high Energy consumption, but C1 will allegedly mitigate the need for high Energy Recharge stats. Likewise, her other Constellations may have some kind of Energy Recharging mechanic for the whole team, similar to Raiden Shogun's Elemental Burst.

Based on the leaker's opinion, Yelan is a little "uncomfortable" to play, which could mean that her kit is clunky like Yae Miko's or Kujou Sara's, or requires animation canceling like Klee's or Hu Tao's. However, it's highly recommended to wait until the Version 2.7 beta starts to gauge the testing community's opinion on her actual pre-release gameplay.

On that note, keep in mind that the information above consists only of early leaks—all of which are subject to change in the coming months. Take them with a grain of salt and remember that nothing has been confirmed by HoYoverse.
