The Genshin Impact Windblume's Breath event runs from March 3, 2023, to March 27, 2023, celebrating one of Monstadt's most important festivals of the year. During the event period, you can participate in a rhythm game called Ballads of Breeze.
As Ballads of Breeze is a rhythm game, timing is important to score a full combo. But sometimes, laggy devices can cause your perfect notes to miss, usually because they can't process the action fast enough to register in real-time. If you're experiencing this issue, adjusting lag calibration can help ensure that your clicks register correctly despite your device's delay.
How to fix delayed tap in Ballads of Breeze rhythm game with lag calibration – Genshin Impact Windblume event
Head to the event menu and select Settings on the top-right of the screen. Inside, you'll find a section dedicated to Calibration. Click on the arrow beside Calibrate to enter a menu where you can figure out the best settings for you.
Lag calibration adjusts the acceptable tap delay within the note tap zone. There's a limited window where you can get a Perfect, Good, or Failed score based on the accuracy of your taps. However, if you're playing on a laggy device, don't listen to the beat, or are new to rhythm games, it's possible for nearly all of your taps to miss. You can fix this timing problem through lag calibration.

Inside the Calibration menu, adjust the Calibration Value on the right of the screen. Then test it out by tapping on the note every four beats (the fourth beat has a special sound). If you're able to get a Perfect score and are happy with the timing, then you've adjusted to the correct Calibration Value. Otherwise, adjust the Value and try again.
- Calibration Value 0 - zero adjustment from intended tap delay; must click the exact moment the beat drops
- Calibration Value 10 and above - creates a tap delay depending on how high you calibrate (max 400, around a two-second delay)
- Calibration Value -10 and below - allows you to tap earlier depending on how low you calibrate (max -400, around a two-second early tap allowance)
It's important to know that calibrating doesn't change the speed of the music. It only adjusts how early or delayed you can click on notes. If you change devices, you need to adjust your settings again.
