Meet Genshin Impact’s leaked Fontaine characters 7 months in advance

Leakers have leveled up.

Genshin Impact's yearly nation drop happens around August, and leaks normally surface a few months in advance. But this year, the frenzy for Fontaine has come a little too early. With seven months before the nation of justice is expected to release, character designs of alleged Fontaine characters have already been circulating around social media. Initial leaks showcased blurry imagery, but it took less than a week for higher-quality photos to emerge. Keep in mind that the information below is based on leaks and should be taken with a grain of salt, as they have not been confirmed by HoYoverse, and are still very early into development.

A full character lineup of alleged upcoming characters was posted by the Twitter user @FontaineDaily, showcasing 10 characters who leakers believe are coming to the game.

Familiar faces include Lyney and Lynette, featured in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail. As early as November, they were leaked to possibly be a two-in-one playable character, with Lyney supposedly as the 'main unit' and Lynette as the 'summon.'

Meanwhile, leaks allege that the tall, older man could be Chief Justice Neuvillette, whose name appeared in Nahida's drip marketing announcement. Many speculated that the name Neuvillette would be associated with a female, but leaker @hxg_diluc stated that the character is the older man photographed above.

The same leaker alleged that the blue-haired female with a teen body model, who was initially leaked to be a Seele expy, is the current Hydro Archon, Focalors. Both pieces of information were further supported by leaker @SaveYourPrimos.

Little is known about the rest of the leaked characters, but @merlin_impact hinted that some may not be from Fontaine. If that's true, then the Monstadt characters are most likely to be the pink-haired female due to the shape of her Vision and the female with an apple due to the disconnect in her character design. Fontaine is considered heavily inspired by France in the 19th century, with a heavy emphasis on steampunk elements. The official artwork of Lyney and Lynette was the first clue, followed by hints provided by Fontaine characters who players have met in the game.

While Fontaine is still months away from release, the floodgates have already opened, and leaks are continuing to spread without consequence. HoYoverse has tried making moves against leakers, but all efforts seem futile. For now, eager players are already counting their Primogems toward Fontaine character pulls—but do keep in mind that none of the information above has been confirmed true.
