Best Leviathan Axe Light Runic Attacks to get early in God of War Ragnarök

Here are our picks for the best early-game Leviathan Axe Light Runic Attacks:

  • Njord's Tempest: This is the classic Spin to Win move, with some frost added. It has a higher cooldown time than some other skills, but this skill's damage and frost application are excellent for the early game. It can be easily found on Althjof's Rig while completing the In Service of Asgard favor.
  • Skadi's Edge: This Light Runic Attack will turn your Leviathan Axe into a homing missile that handles multiple enemies at once. It also gains a frost explosion effect at higher levels that can be quite handy. You can find this gem in a Legendary Chest the first time you travel to Alfheim in The Strond.

Best Blades of Chaos Light Runic Attacks to get early in God of War Ragnarök

Here are our picks for the best early-game Blades of Chaos Light Runic Attacks:

  • Flames of Anguish: This should be the first Light Runic Attack you acquire for the Blades of Chaos by defeating the Dreki in Svartlfheim. It has a high cooldown but creates a geyser of burning that is swift and effective. It's also slightly cheaper to upgrade.
  • Hades Retribution: This attack isn't necessarily swift, but it can be merciless. Stab your enemy to plant a bomb inside of it that will trigger AoE burning damage to the target and enemies surrounding it. This Light Runic Attack can be found in a Legendary Chest inside the Temple of Light in Alfheim.
