How to Recover from Coma in Gray Zone Warfare

Solo players need a field medic.

In Gray Zone Warfare, a coma is a status ailment that can be lethal to your character, and there are a few things you can do to deal with this condition. There's a chance of falling into a coma if your character sustains multiple organ damage, so here's how to cure and recover from this status effect in-game.

Can you cure coma in Gray Zone Warfare?

A coma is a status ailment that affects your character after getting severe organ damage from gunfights. If your character is going into a coma, then a teammate must use Surgery Kits and Blood Bags to revive you. Doing this procedure on your own can be tricky as your character loses blood rapidly and there's a chance of imminent death if there are no teammates nearby.

Ideally, you can heal other players from a coma state by following the same procedure, applying Surgery Kits and Blood Bags. It is essential to keep all types of medicines on you including Blood Bags, Pain pills, Bandages, Splints, Tourniquets, and Surgery Kits. Sustaining severe damage from gunfights also affects your gear, so you may want to purchase new armor from Handshake while at your base.

Can you self-res in Gray Zone Warfare?

Unfortunately, there's no way to revive yourself from a coma in Gray Zone Warfare. So far, I've played a few solo runs where my character inevitably died after sustaining lethal injuries and going into a coma. In a similar scenario, I started using a Surgery Kit after my character was injured to stabilize the organs, but the procedure stopped midway. Eventually, you black out and fall into a coma, unless there's a teammate nearby to help out.

Since there are no self-res in the game, the best thing you can do to protect your loot is to remember the exact spot of death. This way, you can return to that spot, loot all the items of your corpse, and continue with your tasks. Keep in mind that the enemies that killed you might camp near the body, or steal the loot before you can return to the area. I recommend playing it safe and going into missions with a squad, as playing solo can be a hassle if you end up dying all the time.
