Players will initially save only at CJ's mother's house when they begin the game. In the kitchen in your house, there is a spinning floppy disk icon that you can touch to bring up the save menu.

The save points are divided into basic save points that Carl can access as he progresses through the storyline. In addition, there are safe houses, which are save points with additional amenities that Carl can purchase after completing certain missions.
