Should you buy Phoenixflame from the Suspicious Merchant in Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars?

Is 20,000G too much?

When you step out of Castle Advent in Chapter One, you get the opportunity to meet a shady merchant near the gates. He's offering you a "legendary" weapon, called Phoenixflame, for 20,000G. That's a lot of money, but it should be worth it if it isn't a scam, right?

Should you buy Phoenixflame from the Suspicious Merchant in Voice of Cards?

As soon as you have the money to spend, you should purchase it. Phoenixflame is the best weapon you can equip to your hero. It's also one of the five legendary weapons hidden in the game.

If you've unlocked the Gilded Door in Advent before this, the member of the Ivory Order that you bump into will even tell you that there are black market dealers in town who are selling dangerous and powerful weapons. That's how you know this thing's the real deal.

It's a pain to get your gold to 20,000G, especially since each battle on the main continent rewards you with only around 100G. You can wait until you can fight tougher enemies on the Isle of Blight or you can grind at the Musty Tower before climbing to its roof. Phoenixflame will make the chapter five boss much easier to beat.
