Halo has always been the crown jewel of the Xbox library, and Halo Infinite proves that the series should never be underestimated. The official Halo Twitter account has shared that the latest entry in the series has the biggest launch in the franchise's history. According to the tweet, over 20 million players have joined Halo Infinite since its launch.
Halo Infinite was released on Dec. 8, which means it accumulated over 20 million players within less than two months. Infinite has been earning a lot of praise from fans and critics for being an improvement over Halo 5. However, there has been some criticism aimed at Infinite for how certain online functionalities have been implemented.

Halo Infinite is currently going through its "Season One" of online multiplayer content. The current season one event is the Cyber Showdown Event, where players can gain new cybernetic upgrades and cosmetics. The event will last until Jan. 31, at 10am PT. The first season of Halo multiplayer is expected to last until sometime in May 2022.
