Hell Let Loose is a tactical warfare game, and working with your teammates is essential to surviving a battle, so you'll need a way to communicate with them. Here's how you can use voice chat on all platforms!
How to use Voice Chat in Hell Let Loose
Hell Let Loose features a realistic voice chat system in which you can talk to players close to you with proximity or use the radio to talk to all teammates no matter the distance. You'll need to switch between the two manually, and that can look different depending on which console you're on.
First and foremost, head to the Settings menu and ensure you have voice chat switched on. In the Audio options, you can control how loud the other voices are by adjusting the Voice Volume slider. You can also adjust how loud you are to other people by moving the Microphone Volume slider. Finally, the top right corner of the menu will show you whether or not your mic is muted (this can be muted or unmuted directly on the microphone you are using).
Once you ensure the settings are turned on, here's how you can start chatting for each platform:
PC Chat
PC chat is a lot easier than console, but you must hold the button while talking. Press V to do proximity chat (anyone nearby you), or press C to talk on the Radio (all teammates, no matter the distance).
Console Voice Chat
For consoles, switching between Proximity and Radio chat is a bit different. You'll need to hold L1/LB and then use the stick to select the chat you want from the wheel: Proximity or Radio. Proximity chat is blue, and Radio chat is green. If your mic is unmuted, you can freely talk to your teammates and vice versa.
If at any time you don't want to use voice chat, head into the settings and turn the volume of the players and your own mic all the way down, and you won't have to worry about it. Communicating can be essential to your victory, so now you can give it a go!
