Hello Neighbor 2 photo frame puzzle guide – Day 1

It's like scrapbooking.

Hello Neighbor 2 puts you in the shoes of an investigative journalist as you try to solve the disappearance of a little boy. The first chapter mirrors the original game, as you sneak through a suburban house, trying to unlock the basement. One of the keys will require completing a photograph cut to pieces and hidden around the house. You can piece the picture together and claim that key, but only if you have the right tools.

Where to find the puzzle pieces in Hello Neighbor 2

Once you reach the second floor of the Peterson house, the door closest to the staircase is the master bedroom. You can enter that room and move past the area with the sofa to find an incomplete photograph on an end table next to a bookcase. It has one piece of the sepia-toned photograph, and you must find the other four.

You actually will have passed by the first piece as you approach the photo frame. It's on the bookshelf, covered in police tape. Use the scissors to cut through the police tape, just as you did to get up the stairs, to get the photo piece. Add that piece to the photo frame before moving on.

While facing the picture frame, turn around and look at the bookshelf in the other corner of the room. On top, you'll see a mass of cobwebs. Cut those away to reveal a kettlebell weight. You'll need that later. Leave the bedroom and head towards the room locked with chains at the other end of the second floor. In front of that sealed door, you'll find a crate. Break it open with a crowbar to find the second photo piece.

From there, enter the door on the left. Walk straight ahead to the table with the lamp on the other side of the room. There, you'll find a pillow with a strange patch. Cut that away with your scissors to reveal the third photo piece.

From there, turn to your left to see the see-through wardrobe against the wall. Next to that hiding spot, you'll see a pressure plate on the floor. Use the kettlebell to weigh down that plate. That will open a much larger wardrobe on the wall to the left. Take the fourth and final photo piece from that wardrobe.

With all the photo pieces in place, interact with the photo. The bookshelf immediately to the right of the photo will open up, revealing a key to the basement door. You may have to climb up on the bed to see and retrieve it. Remember, always put your photo pieces into the frame as soon as you get them. If the cop catches you, you'll drop whatever you have. If they're safe in the frame, your progress is saved.
