All South Hogwarts Region Collection Chests in Hogwarts Legacy

Collection Chests hold unique lootable items such as decor for your Room of Requirement, traits to stitch into your gear, and wand handle appearances. The South Hogwarts Region has a total of nine Collection Chests around the area and here's where to find them all.

All South Hogwarts Region Collection Chest Locations in Hogwarts Legacy

The Collection Chests in the South Hogwarts Region are spread out between two hamlets, a mini-dungeon, and a bandit camp. Some of these houses will require you to have Alohomora to enter them, so you'll need to first make sure you start the Man Behind the Moons quest and upgrade your unlocking spell as much as you can.

All Lower Hogsfield Collection Chests in Hogwarts Legacy

Lower Hogsfield is the hamlet just south of Hogwarts Castle. It holds three of the Collection Chests spread around the area. Here's where you can get them all:

Clothesline House Collection Chest

The first Collection Chest is located inside the house with the clothesline on its left side. It will be directly to the left of the Lower Hogsfield Floo Flame and just in front of the vendor. You'll need to open a level one lock to get inside and find the chest.

Water Cart Collection Chest

The next Lower Hogsfield chest is located in the waters surrounding the hamlet. Just down from the clothesline house, you'll spot a cart in the water. The chest is hidden right underneath it for you to loot.

Backyard Crates Collection Chest

To find the last chest in Lower Hogsfield, continue up the hill from the water and take a right at the outdoor vendor. Behind the clothesline house is a stack of crates, and the chest is resting right on them.

All Aranshire Collection Chests in Hogwarts Legacy

The spidery hamlet of Aranshire sits just east of Hogwarts Castle and is home to five more of the region's Collection Chests. Some of these locations may be locked up depending on whether you visit the hamlet before starting the Tangled Web side quest or not. Here is where to find them:

House with Potted Flowers Collection Chest

You'll find the first Collection Chest in the house with the potted flowers out front. This house is directly across from the vendor and will have a level-one lock to break through. Ascend the staircase to the second floor, and the chest will be at the foot of the bed.

Plant Shed Collection Chest

The second chest is located in a smaller shed behind the plant stand. Depending on when you visit, this shed may have a level three lock, meaning you'll need a fully upgraded Alohomora to get inside.

Mary's Neighbor House Collection Chest

If you've done the side quest Tangled Web, you'll know where Mary Portman's house is in Aranshire. Her house shares a garden with the neighboring house, which is where the next chest is. This will be a level one lock, and you'll find the chest just to the right when you walk through the door.

Garden Collection Chest

The next chest can be a little trickier to find since it is well hidden. You can spot it more easily by using Revelio, which will reveal it's buried in the garden beside Mary Portman's house. You can use a spell, like Bombarda, to knock the rocks away and loot the chest.

Mary Portman's Cellar Collection Chest

The last Collection Chest is technically not listed as an Aranshire chest, but that is because it is within a mini-dungeon. You'll find this chest when completing the Tangled Web quest and delving into Mary Portman's Cellar. You'll need to follow the tunnels all the way through, fending off a few spiders until you get to the main cavern. You'll have to fight off the boss spider here, and you'll find the chest in the corner of that room near some crates.

All South Hogwarts Region Bandit Camp Collection Chests

The last Collection Chest in the region is within a bandit camp. You'll have to fight off a few Ashwinders here, but these chests are generally easy to loot. Here's where:

Medium Bandit Camp Collection Chest

This bandit camp is a medium size, meaning there will be a few extra bandits to fend off. It is located just southeast of Aranshire. The chest is hidden under the raised platform, nestled in some crates and storage.

These are all the Collection Chests in the South Hogwarts Region, but there are plenty more to find. Keep your eyes peeled and use your map to help keep track of them. You won't want to miss out on this worthwhile loot.
