Are there Shiny Beasts in Hogwarts Legacy?

Can beasts be shiny?

The Vivarium in Hogwarts Legacy is used for beasts you've captured. Once unlocked, you can use the Nab-Sack to capture beasts in the open world to bring them back to your Room of Requirement and get magical materials from them. Players may notice that some beasts have different markings and wonder if there are shiny beasts in Hogwarts Legacy.

Yes, beasts can be shiny in Hogwarts Legacy. They are found at Monster Dens, where you find regular beasts; however, there is a chance that the beasts that spawn will be shiny.

It's recommended to use the Disillusionment spell, which will allow you to get close to the beast without scaring them. This will enable you to get close enough to check if a beast is shiny. A shiny beast is indicated by the star/+ symbol next to the gender icon.

How to find shiny beasts in Hogwarts Legacy

Finding a shiny beast is, unfortunately, down to luck. We recommended regularly checking Monster Dens for different beasts in hopes of a shiny spawning. It is unclear what the specific spawn percentage rate of a shiny beast spawning is; however, they spawn relatively often if you spend time searching.

Capturing shiny beasts is the same process as capturing regular beasts, except they are often harder due to their shiny status.
