By far, Hogwarts Legacy's most stunning feature is its recreation of the titular castle in exquisite detail. You can also interact with your environment in several ways. You can spin globes scattered around the castle, eat from snacks resting in a bowl, or sip tea. And while you'll find more than a few magical beasts around the area, you can also find regular animals, like chickens, owls, and cats. What happens if you try to interact with and pet the cats? Read on and find out.
Can you pet the cats in Hogwarts Legacy?
You can. However, it does nothing more than give you a quick but satisfying animation of your player character petting the cat and the cat lovingly purring back at you.

While petting cats in real life may give you warm fuzzy feelings, in Hogwarts Legacy, this action does nothing to affect your character. Whether you are playing as a heroic wizard or a dastardly witch, the animation remains the same. And, since there is no specific morality mechanic inside the game, petting cats will not make you more good or evil. If you need your daily fix and have no real-life felines around you, Hogwarts Legacy will try and simulate what it feels like to have a cat softy react to a warm touch. How nice.
