What is the max level in Hogwarts Legacy?

At the time of writing, the maximum level and level cap in Hogwarts Legacy is level 40. It will take you some time to master your spells and reach the highest level in Hogwarts Legacy. Completing the main story and side quests will bring you closer to reaching the level cap and increase your power as a witch or wizard.

While there are no current plans for DLC in Hogwarts Legacy, it wouldn't be shocking to see the level cap raised if DLC were added. With new quests and stories, allowing players to progress past level 40 in Hogwarts Legacy would make sense. Unfortunately, there is no confirmation, so this is speculation.

Hogwarts Legacy allows you to continue playing after completing the main story, so you are free to complete any missed quests or seek out any missing collectibles. Alternatively, you can start a new play in a different house, creating a new witch or wizard for a new journey.
