With Horizon Forbidden West launching for the PS4 and PS5, players can experience this highly anticipated sequel on two separate generations. While the PS4 does have its version of the game, the PS5 iteration boasts a few features exclusive to the next-generation console. Some boons are more prominent than others, but if you're trying to decide to play on the PS4 or wait until you can snag a PS5, keep an eye out for those PS5 exclusive features.

PS5 Exclusive Features

- Resolution Mode (4k 30 FPS)
- Decreased load times
- Increased draw distance
Many of the features exclusive to the PS5 version of Horizon are thanks to the DualSense controller's improved capabilities. Haptic Feedback allows players to feel subtle cues like leaves brushing against them, and Adaptive Triggers allow Aloy to feel the string of her bow when pulling. While the PS5 version of Horizon Forbidden West does have some exclusive features, the PS4 version of this Sony exclusive still performs marvelously, ensuring players on both systems will enjoy returning to this post-apocalyptic landscape.
