LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga gives players a lot of the galaxy to explore, but it feels like you always have to be doing something. True Free Play isn't available until you meet certain requirements.

When do you unlock Galaxy Free Play in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga?

You unlock Galaxy Free Play after you complete an entire episode. Once that is done, go to your Menu and go to the EPISODES tab. From there, you can move through the episodes until you reach GALAXY FREE PLAY.

In Galaxy Free Play, you can go to any area you previously visited and use any character and ship you've unlocked. This is great for doing side missions and completing challenges without feeling the burden of the main mission.

Galaxy Free Play will feel limited if you've only finished one episode. It is best to finish a trilogy before diving into it because then there is a lot more to discover. Each episode only goes over a handful of areas, so it's not worth going through early on.
