Top 11 Lethal Company Tips and Tricks

11. Always bring a shovel

Always have a shovel with you, as it's a solid weapon against many monsters. You can find a stop sign inside the complex to use as a melee weapon, too, but it doesn't spawn often, so shovels are your best choice.

10. Don't be alone

Stick together, or at least in duos, once inside the complex. This is especially helpful if a snare flea drops onto your teammate, and you must hit them with a shovel. It is also beneficial when the coil heads show up, and you have to have a staring contest with it. Besides that, it's more fun to play with someone close by! The proximity chat makes things super funny.

9. Find a beehive

Collect that beehive, as it's essentially free credits if you survive the bees. Use one of your teammates as bait to drag away the bees and then swoop in to grab the hive. Make sure to grab it at the end of the exploration, though. If you go for it too soon, the bees will be aggressive the entire match and keep attacking you.

8. Use railings often

Railings are your best friends in Lethal Company as they keep you away from enemies. Get the high ground to avoid hygrodenes, landmines, and even spiders. You can get some good hits from this vantage point with the shovel.

7. Always have one player on screens

Have someone on screens as it's useful for warning against incoming creatures and opening locked doors. Don't forget to grab walkie-talkies to warn your friends of monsters heading their way. And if you see that big red dot coming for your friends outside, hope they can run fast enough.

6. Take care of your loot

When you find loot in Lethal Company, carry it outside in front of the main entrance or fire exit. This makes it easier to take to the ship once you're done, and you'll also avoid hoarding bugs stealing your loot. Out of all the Lethal Company tips and tricks, this one hits home, as I have a rocky relationship with the bugs.

5. Keep track of the weather

Weather conditions are crucial for your success (or lack thereof) in Lethal Company. Every moon has specific weather conditions that make your mission even harder. So, if it's foggy and stormy on one moon, select one with no weather effects. I would especially avoid eclipsed moons, which means nighttime monsters at 9 am. That's not a great start to your work day.

4. Stay quiet

Moons in Lethal Company are filled with monsters that can't wait to tear you apart. As you're not a soldier, you must stay away from them by not making any noise. Avoid running, move in shadows (with minimal use of flashlights since they can hear the clicking), and maintain radio silence most of the time.

3. Watch your step

The monsters are dangerous, but it's stuff on the floor that will get you. Or at least it keeps getting me. First, you have to watch where you are going outside, as you can easily walk into quicksand or off a cliff. It's especially bad if there is water at the bottom of the cliff as we can't swim. We aren't safe inside either, with missing railings and landmines galore. Just look where you're going and you should be good.

2. Use a scanner often

Spam the right-click and use that scanner. It doesn't have a cooldown and will see what you're not seeing. The downside is when the scanner catches a new creature in the darkness in front of you. When that happens, all you can do is say goodbye to your friends and face death like a champ.

1. Don't stay out too late

All the Lethal Company tips and tricks listed above are important, but this one is at the top. Don't be greedy, and know your limits, as all that scrap is not worth anything if you're dead. Some of the most dangerous creatures in Lethal Company are nocturnal, so try not to be outside at night. On top of that, the ship will leave without you if you're late.
