There are many monsters you need to avoid on the Moons outside, but the dogs certainly take the cake and a bite out of you, too. Here's how to deal with Eyeless Dogs in Lethal Company so you can keep doing your job.
How to survive the Eyeless Dogs in Lethal Company
Eyeless dogs are nighttime monsters roaming outside looking for prey. The best way to survive the Eyeless Dogs in Lethal Company is by avoiding them. As the name suggests, these monsters can't see, which has only increased their hearing. If you notice them, crouch to make as little noise as possible. Stay quiet on voice chat, and if you're carrying a walkie-talkie, switch it off.
If an Eyeless Dog notices you, it will roar and start charging at you. You can throw a stun grenade to distract them with the bang and give yourself enough time to escape danger. The zap gun also works for stunning them and is definitely a good item to have, even though it is more expensive.
Another way to escape them is to have a teammate teleport you. This is very situational, however, as someone needs to be on the ship at the right time to save you. The teleporter will also drop all your items, so this should be a last resort if you're carrying a bunch of scraps.
Can you kill the Eyeless Dogs in Lethal Company?
Yes, you can kill the Eyless Dogs in Lethal Company. Do I suggest doing it? No, but if you want the glory of saying you did it, check out my tips below.
How to kill the Eyeless Dogs in Lethal Company
If you're really bloodthirsty for it, here's how to kill the Eyeless Dogs in Lethal Company. First, make sure all of your teammates are involved and prepared. This is not a one-person endeavor. There are several ways you can go about this.
Since they are attracted to sound, you could use a boombox to bait the Dogs while you attack. You can also use stun grenades for this. They won't blind them for obvious eyeless reasons, but they do make a loud sound that attracts them.
To prevent the Eyeless Dogs from attacking and killing you, it would be good for at least one of you to have a zap gun. This way, you can stun it while the others hit it with shovels, but keep in mind the zap gun has a cooldown.
When I killed the Eyeless Dog, it did take a lot of hits, more than three. I don't have an exact number, as panic made me forget how to count. This also has to be a quick kill as their roar attracts other Eyeless Dogs. They are tough, and I'd always suggest avoiding them if you can, especially if there are more in the same area.
