How to Switch types of Seeds and Sprouts in Lightyear Frontier
You have to access the Tool Wheel, which is a quick way to control your Tools in Lightyear Frontier. Then, hover over the Seed Shooter or Sprout Cannon and change the Seed or Sprout type. Different Seeds and Sprouts give you different resources you can use in crafting or trading with Lola in Merchant Lander.
How to Access Tool Wheel in Lightyear Frontier
Press Q on the keyboard or Left Bumper on a gamepad to access the Tool Wheel. This wheel menu is very useful for accessing your tools instead of using numerics or the mouse wheel. More importantly, the Tool Wheel is the only way to change the type of Seeds or Sprouts for your planting tools.
How to change Seeds and Sprouts type in Lightyear Frontier
While holding the Tool Wheel button, hover over the Seed Shooter or Sprout Cannon. If you have more than one Seed or Sprout, you'll notice there are a few seeds to choose from. You can switch between the Seeds and Sprouts by pressing E/R on the keyboard or Left/Right on a Directional Pad (the cross one). After you select what you're gonna plant, head to the Plot and shoot them into the soil.
Why do I need different Seeds and Sprouts in Lightyear Frontier?
Different Seeds will give you different plants, which you can use to craft structures or make advanced materials, such as Oils and Fuels. Different Sprouts will grow into different trees, and you have more than one kind of wood. You can also grow Hardwood and Softwood from Yellow Tree and Pine sprouts. Once you build the Merchant Landing, you can trade your plants for blueprints or Mech parts with Lola the Merchant.
