All Classes in Lost Ark, Explained

You can choose from five classes in Lost Ark. Each class is set for a certain style of player. For a more detailed overview of each class, keep on reading below.

Warrior

The Warrior class prioritizes strength over speed. These are the tanks and should be for players who want to take and deliver high damage. You will usually see these classes in the front of the Battle. As such, more of the attacks are offensive, and very few are ranged attacks. We recommend this class for players who want to either play solo or prefer to lead their parties into battle.

Advanced Classes

• Berserker
  • Deliver high-damage sword attacks and have a good defense. They gain increased attack and movement speed in provoked state.
• Paladin
  • Have powerful offensive and defensive moves. They can support their team by using holy skills and buffs.
• Gunlancer
  • Their battlefield shield provides the first line of defense. They can protect teammates and absorb damage.

Martial Artist

The Martial Artist is a speed class with high DPS (Damage per second). You jump in, cause damage, and jump out. This class requires players to think methodically and make use of openings. Remember to attack as much as possible if you want to do well here. Many people consider this to be their favorite class.

Advanced Classes

• Striker (Male only)
  • Has several physical skills and fast movement. Uses powerful aerial combos after hitting enemies quickly.
• Wardancer (Female only)
  • Possess rapid fighting skills with elemental power. They can store up elemental energy to unleash in lethal attacks.
• Scrapper (Female only)
  • Wield a heavy gauntlet. They draw on two inverse forms of attack energy that feed off each other to deliver nonstop destruction.
• Soulfist (Female only)
  • Ability to switch between melee and ranged attacks. Channel a special energy—Adamance.

Gunner

Among all classes, the Gunner is the most popular. It's a ranged class, but one of the most effective classes around. Those who want to deal with high damage or high DPS can choose this class instead of Warrior. It offers the same benefits as Warrior without the need to be in the face of the enemy.

Advanced Classes

• Gunslinger (Female only)
  • Carry a gun for every occasion and the ability to switch between them quickly. They also posses fast movement speed.
• Artillerist (Male only)
  • Carry some of the biggest guns. They make up for their slow mobility with huge launchers, weapons, and heavy armor.
• Deadeye (Male only)
  • Have a flexible triple-wielding playstyle. Their arsenal includes a double handgun, shotgun, and rifle.
• Sharpshooter (Male only)
  • They are ranged attackers who use special bows and arrows. Possess high survivability, stealthy machinations, and agility.

Mage

The Mage class is a bit more complicated than the rest. The two advanced classes, Bard and Sorceress, really change how you play the game. Usually, the Bard is meant to be a supporting class, whereas the Sorceress can almost effortlessly solo the game. If you want to do range damage and not want to be the main fighter, the mage is the right class. If you want to solo the game, then you might prefer the Sorceress.

Advanced Classes

• Bard
  • They can evoke soothing serenades to heal their team or damage opponents.
• Sorceress
  • A common mage class. Sorceresses deal elemental damage to enemies in different scales and sizes.
• Summoner (Unreleased and may come later)
  • They call forth spirits of the elements with unique abilities to fight for them.

Assassin

The Assassin is the rogue class, but it feels more like a combination of the classes above. It has a bit of everything from a DPS boost to abilities that give status bonuses. Even if it isn't the best at anything, this class is a force to be reckoned with if you level it up high enough. This is highly recommended for players who don't want to be stuck in one direction or another.

Advanced Classes

• Deathblade
  • They use a total of three swords. Ability to perform fast-paced combo attacks.
• Shadowhunter
  • They can shapeshift into powerful demonic forms to unleash chaotic power. Achieve increased powers, health, and movement speed
