Lost Lands 6 Walkthrough, part 3

Meeting the resistance.

Point-and-click object finding and puzzle games don’t come much better than the Lost Lands series. I love how they also include great RPG story elements with some fantastic settings and characters. Below you’ll find Part 3 of my walkthrough.

In Lost Lands 6 our heroine Susan finds herself not only traveling to a different world but also through time. Use your observational skills to spot and collect useful items, then uncover puzzles you need to beat to progress the story. If you stall anywhere, you can find the solutions here.

Lost Lands 6 Mistakes of the Past - Walkthrough Part 3

The walkthrough guide below begins just after Susan is captured in the sewers beneath Maaronguard and continues until you enter Maaronguard in disguise. If you’re looking for solutions connected to earlier or later parts of the story, check my Lost Lands 6 Walkthrough hub page.

After a cut scene with Maaron, you’ll find the Collectible on the back wall (a1) while the Morphing Object is on the right wall (a2). Get a close-up of the plank bed (a3) and take the Crumb, then use it to tempt the rat out of the hole (a4). Once it moves get the Sharp Piece of Metal from the hole and use it to unscrew and then pick up the Plank Bed. click the chain that has since been lowered to you and climb up.

Once in the prison, get a close-up of the door (b1) and use the plank bed to block it. There’s a Morphing Object by the storage room door (b2), the Collectible is on the box (b3), and there’s also a Manuscript to collect (b4). Grab the Hammer (b5) and the Additional Chain (b6), then open the backpack (b7) to read the escape plan while taking the Hacksaw and Dynamite

Select the downed soldier (b8) for a close-up and click his pouch to take the Lock and Key. Use the key to unlock the storage room door (b9), starting a missing objects puzzle

The escape

You need to hang the lantern on the hook (top right) and put the candle in it to get started. To get the correct amount of water, fill the small jug and pour it into the large one. Do the same again, at which point the big jug will be full and the small one will have 1 unit. Empty the large jug back into the bucket, pour the one unit from the small jug to the large, then fill the small one again. Pour the 3 units in the small jug into the 1 in the large and you’ll have your 4 units. Once done, you’ll get back the Sword of Justice and Fire Keeper

Go back down into the casemate cell. Attach the lock to the chain you climbed up and attach the additional chain to it. Once done, click the end of the chain to get a close-up of the back wall, and use your hammer on the wall to start a sound puzzle. I’ve marked the correct spot (red) above.

Once you have it, select the dynamite in your inventory and click the spot. Back out on the main image, go up into the prison, and use your fire keeper on the end of the fuse. Kaboom. Go back down into the casemate, then click the hole you’ve made in the floor for a brief cutscene.

Click the hole (in the close-up) once more to lower the chain, then once more to drop down into the boat. Be warned though. In the boat, you’ll move along the sewer and have to dodge obstacles. To dodge, click the left and right paddles to move in that direction. If you last 60 seconds, you’re good. If not, you’ll have to try again.

Select the hole above the ruble once more, this time taking Half a Wheel and a Pipe from inside. Use the pipe to bash the grate (e1), swinging it open and dropping down some junk. Keep clicking where the junk falls (e2) until you get the Glass Cutter. Finally, click the back wall (e3) for a close-up and use the key to the passage in the diamond-shaped inset to reveal the secret staircase.

Once inside the prophetess’ chamber, click the curtain for a cut scene. Afterward, you can collect the Morphing Object (g1), the Collectible (g2), and a Manuscript (g3). Click the table (g4) and take the Fuel Oil, then click the lectern (g5) and look at the book. When you close the book you can then collect the Oil Lamp in the same close-up. Click the book once more to close it and find the Recipe for the Poisonous Powder as well as a Key

Select the table (g4) once more, add the recipe, and then use the scales, weights, and bowls to make the powder. See the image above for which pot to add each time. Each bullet point below presumes the scales are empty when you start it

  • Bowl 5: Put the 8 weight on the left scale, 3 weight and Bowl 5 on the right. Add the C pot to Bowl 5.
  • Bowl 2: Left: 3 weight and Bowl 2. Right: Bowl 5. Add A pot to Bowl 2.
  • Bowl 7: Left: Bowls 5 and 2. Right: Bowl 3. Add E pot to Bowl 7.
  • Bowl 4: Left: Bowl 7. Right: Weight 3 and Bowl 4. Add B to Bowl 4.
  • Bowl 6: Left: Bowl 6. Right: Bowls 4 and 2. Add D to Bowl 6.

As long as you’ve done this correctly, the rest will complete itself. Take the Poisonous Powder and then head back out to the central collector. Click the barracks door (f5) and then use the key to open it and go inside.

Both the Collectible (h1) and Morphing Object (h2) are on the right wall. Take the Jar from the chest of drawers (h3). Go back out to the central collector and use this new key to open the other door (f6) and go in.

Click the wagon (i4) for a close-up, add the wheel, and then pick up the Wooden Bar (in the same close-up). Select the wooden bar in your inventory and use the sword of justice on it to make it a Wooden Plug. Add the wooden plug to the wheel you just put on the wagon and use the hammer to knock it into place. Finally, click the Jackscrew (again in the same close-up) to collect it and move the wagon.

You’ll find yourself back in the barracks. Click the wagon to start a stacking puzzle. This is in two layers. The first completed is pictured above, and the second is below. Once done, click the hatch (h5), use the jackscrew to push it open, and head up into the crematorium.

The crematorium

The Morphing Object is in the rafters (k1) and the Collectible is on the rug (k2). Take the Leg of the Stool (k3), then click the window (k4) for a close-up, moving the plant pot to take a Key while noting down the runes scratched on the windowsill.

Click the box (k5), use the symbols you saw on the windowsill as the code to open it, and take the Chisel and Nails. Select the oven (k6) and click the wood in the close-up, collecting another Leg of the Stool from underneath. Click the stool (k7), add the two legs, flip the stool and add the nails, then hammer them in. You can now get the Empty Tin and the Handwheel from the rafters (k8).

Add the handwheel to the oven (k6), open the two doors, and use the handwheel to turn off the oven. Use the empty tin inside the oven to get a Tin With Ashes. Return to the central collector area and click anywhere for a cut scene. You’ll then have a close-up of the plan board. Take the Key to the Cellar from its chalk shelf, then click each picture in sequence (1 to 10) to find out the plan. You’ll also get a False Pass after looking at picture five.

Head back into the prophetess’s chamber, lick the bed (g6) for a close-up, then click the cushions until you can take the Elixir of Faceless. Click the mirror (g7), and add the elixir to the bowl. After a cut scene you’ll get the Key to the Cabinet. Move to the warehouse, use the key to open the cabinet (i5), and complete the clothes-sets puzzle (see the solution above).

Click the green suit afterward to finish your disguise, then select the trapdoor that was revealed here when you moved the wagon (i4). Open it with the key to the cellar, then click it once more to start a simple missing objects puzzle. The only potentially tricky bit is the slide puzzle, but you can’t go wrong and there’s no time limit. Once complete you’ll get a Box With Food

Move to the Endless Cemetery, select the cart, and open the chest inside with the key. Take the Harness. Head to the Road to the Suburbs next and select the buffalo for a close-up. Add the chisel to the stones then use the hammer to smash them, freeing its foot. Use the harness from your inventory on the buffalo, then use the apple to move it. Back at the endless cemetery, click the buffalo twice to be on your way. After a brief cut scene give your false pass to the guard, then click the cart to enter Maaron’s Castle.
