The Rabbids again join Mario on a new quest, this time of galactic importance. With this new quest and entry comes a new breed of Rabbids. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope transforms the Rabbids by making them more intelligent and charged with emotion.
In an official blog post, Ubisoft breaks down the change to the Rabbids in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. What started with creating a unique Rabbid that is an original character led the rest of the Rabbid cast to gain dialogue in the form of a new language. This new Rabbid hero is named Edge, and she expresses many of her emotions through her sword.

While the Rabbids still maintain their chaotic nature, they gain a sense of self in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Their personality comes through in their mannerisms and a hybrid language of gibberish and sentences. Each Rabbid also gains a new upgraded look in the sequel that showcases how they are separate characters and not just caricatures of Mario and his friends.
Fans will look at these new Rabbids in-depth once Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope launches on October 20, 2022. While you wait, follow the official Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Twitter for more updates.
