Can you cross the lava without taking damage in Metroid Prime Remastered?

Samus is a woman of many suits

Now that Metroid Prime has a shiny new remaster, many gamers get to try it out for the first time. The game throws a ton of obstacles at new players, even within the first hour of the game. One of the more annoying obstacles is traveling to Magmoor Caverns, where the heat actually damages Samus. After defeating one of the game's bosses, though, players should be able to cross the lava without issue.

The reason why players take damage in Magmoor Caverns in Metroid Prime Remastered is that their suit isn't powered up. At the beginning of the game, Samus is dawning her Varia Suit, which protects her against the heat. After the Ridley attack at the Frigate Orpheon, though, Samus loses the Varia Suit, landing on Tallon IV with only her basic Power Suit. Therefore, players just need to grab the Varia Suit again before exploring the rest of Magmoor Caverns.

To get the Varia Suit, players will need to beat Flaahgra, the final boss of the Chozo Ruins area. Flaahgra can be found at the top of the Arboretum room (it will take a while to get up there after defeating all the enemies around).

As for Flaahgra itself, this boss feeds off of sunlight. There are four mirrors around Flaahgra that beams sunlight down on itself. Luckily, when the fight starts, only one is activated. Players will want to shoot at the target behind the mirror; this will flip it upwards, denying sunlight to Flaahgra in the process and opening a tunnel whereby Samus can drop a Morph Ball Bomb inside.

If this is done once, two mirrors will activate, then three, then four. Flaahgra won't be defeated until Samus breaks all four mirrors. Until that point, players will want to stay safe and try to avoid Flaahgra's projectiles while firing with the beam cannon. Beating Flaahgra will reward players with the Varia Suit, allowing them to finally roam around Magmoor Caverns.
