Mineshafts are home to all sorts of ores and treasures, so having one right next to Spawn is a wonderful thing! This mineshaft is very easy to reach since it is in a Lush Cave with water. You can either dig down into it or drop into the water at the bottom of the cave and build your way up. Make sure to grab wood and coal for torches first, though. The halls of the mineshaft are narrow, dark, and filled with monsters.

22 - Snowy Cherry Mountains

It makes me speculate on which ruin came first, if one of them caused the other to decline, or if it's simply a coincidence that they rest next to each other. You'll need to visit the two surrounding Plains Villages to gather some basic supplies to take the Pillagers on. The Plains Village on the beach has plenty of food while the Blacksmith village further away has a few pieces of iron armor and an iron sword. Before cutting down the tower for good, climb to the Blacksmith's shop at the top of the raided village to gather a few more pieces of iron gear.
