As an experienced Minecraft player, I personally know the struggles of finding a new item. Finding items was usually pretty easy, but with Minecraft's 1.20 update, things like Torchflower seeds are tricky to find. It is why we at PGG wrote this guide to help players like you stop struggling and get back to having fun.
How to Get and Use Torchflower seeds in Minecraft
To get Torchflower seeds in Minecraft, users must first get a Sniffer mob. Once players have a Sniffer, they can use it to sniff the seeds out on the following blocks:
- Dirt
- Podzol
- Grass Block
- Moss Block
- Coarse Dirt
- Rooted Dirt
- Muddy
- Muddy Mangrove Roots
If you do not have any luck having your Sniffer find Torchflower seeds, we recommend clearing an area out. We recommend having at least a 6x6 space free so that the Sniffer has plenty of room to search for Torchflower seeds. If Sniffers have enough room, they will bend their noses and dig, and one seed should appear on the ground nearby. When you get a Torchflower seed you can use them to grow Torchflower plants. Torchflower plants are then used for the following uses in Minecraft 1.20:
- Breeding Sniffers
- Making Orange dye
- As fun decorations
Where to find a Sniffer in Minecraft
To find a Sniffer in Minecraft, you need a brush and head to the nearest Ocean Ruins. Inside Ocean Ruins, Sniffers spawn via Sniffer eggs in Suspicious Sand. To locate the eggs, you must use your brush to remove the Suspicious Sand, revealing the egg. Once you have a Sniffer egg, you can hatch it to get a Sniffer in Minecraft. If you do not want to wait to get a Sniffer, we recommend spawning one via Creative mode or using this command /summon sniffer.
