To hatch a Dragon egg, players will need to gather four end crystals and place them around the end portal. Players can make end crystals with six glasses, one eye of the ender, and ghast tear, placed in the pattern shown below.
When you have made all four end crystals, place them on each side of the end portal, with the egg on top of the bedrock tower. Doing so will hatch the egg and summon a new End Dragon.
How to hatch a Dragon Egg Minecraft Overworld
If you want to hatch a Dragon Egg in Minecraft's overworld, there is no way to do it in the vanilla game. It's only a trophy rewarded when clever players kill the Ender Dragon. However, with the magic of mods, all is possible.
So far, all we have seen are mods to add a baby ender dragon, so if that's what you are after, find the Baby Ender Dragons Addon by author Editor. What this mod does is add a Baby Ender Dragon that players can tame found in caves.

How to get the Dragon Egg in Minecraft
Players will first need to kill the Ender Dragon inside the End if they want to get a Dragon Egg. Players will also need to bring along a piston and a lever as they will not be able to pick the egg up, and the only way of getting the egg is to push off the block tower it sits upon in the End.
But even with the egg pushed off the bedrock block tower in the End, you will not be able to get the egg until the Ender Dragon has been slain. An easy way to kill the Ender Dragon is by using beds, as explained in our How to kill the Ender Dragon with Beds Guide.
Once you kill the Ender Dragon, take your piston and lever and build a small platform up the side of the bedrock tower the egg sits upon. You can find this tower in the middle of the end portal, and so you might want to create a wall to keep the egg from falling into the portal.
When you have a wall protecting the egg from the portal, place the piston on top of your newly made tower along with the lever, and you should be able to push the egg off the bedrock tower with ease.
It will be about 20 blocks where you will need to make sure the egg falls, but if you cover the portal, you shouldn't have any issues with letting the egg fall down.
