Teleporting in Minecraft PE differs from in any other Minecraft game. In this guide, we explain how to use the chat feature to teleport yourself or another player to a different location.
How to Teleport in Minecraft PE
In Minecraft PE, the only way to enter commands is to press the Chat Icon at the top of the screen which looks like a speech bubble. When you press that icon, the Chat Window/Command Line window will pop up and allow you to enter text.
When you're in the chat window, enter the following commands based on who you'd like to teleport and where.
- Teleport to Player
- /tp PlayerName1
- Teleport one player (first name) to another player location (second name)
- /tp PlayerName1 PlayerName2
- Teleport a player to a position a specific distance away from their current position
- /tp PlayerName1 ~5 ~ ~10
- Teleports the player 5 blocks East and 10 blocks South
- /tp PlayerName1 ~5 ~ ~10
- Teleport a player to specific coordinates
- /tp PlayerName1 10 80 10
- Teleports the player to the coordinates x10 z80 y10
- /tp PlayerName1 10 80 10
The list below shows you the shortcuts to target specific groups and people (replace the Player Names in the commands above with any of these).
- @s - Targets the person executing the command.
- @p - Targets the player closest to the person executing the command.
- @r - Targets a random player in the game.
- @a - Targets all players in your game.
- @e - Targets all entities in the game (including mobs and animals).
With the commands above, you can easily travel between players and areas. The commands also work on Command Blocks, so it's possible to hook up a button to a Command Block that teleports you to another location!
